This recipe is very close to being Paleo except for the chocolate chips. Almost, but not quite. It is one of my favourite guilty pleasure treats. The cinnamon helps to keep blood sugars in check. I store these treats in the freezer. If you do not wish to freeze them they are best stored in the fridge.
Ingredients:
1 cup Large Coconut Flakes
1 Cup Gluten Free Chocolate Chips
1 Cup Sliced Almonds
1/2 Cup Almond Butter
1/3 Cup Raw Honey
1/3 Cup Coconut Oil
1 Tbsp Cinnamon
Melt Chocolate chips, almond butter and honey in a saucepan over low heat.
Remove from heat and stir in nuts, coconut flakes and cinnamon.
Spoon onto parchment paper by the Tbsp
refrigerate to set.
