Natural Dish Soap

In an effort to make my home chemical free I started looking into making my own household cleaners.  This natural dish soap is made with Castile soap which is made from 100% plant oils.  I choose lime essential oil because it has disinfecting properties.  Lemon essential oil because it is a natural grease cutter as well as a natural antibacterial disinfectant.  Both of these citrus oils have a naturally uplifting aromatic scent.  And who doesn’t need an uplifting boost when washing dishes?

You can play around with a mix of different essential oils.

Both Grapefruit and doTERRAs OnGuard essential oils would also work well in this recipe because of their disinfectant properties.

INGREDIENTS:

1 ½ Cups Distilled Water

1 Cup Unscented Castile Soap

1 tsp Baking Soda

10 Drops Lime Essential Oil

8 Drops Lemon Essential Oil

Mix all ingredients in a glass measuring cup and pour into a glass bottle.
